Reginal Allyn

Resident Drama Educator-FaciliActor (Drama/ Theatre)

Reginal Allyn is an Applied Theatre Practitioner who sees theatre as a tool for individuals to discover and harness their own existing creativity, to find their own voice within themselves and to share them confidently. She believes in being a guide than dictating the pace of any participant’s journey in the drama space.

As a graduate from Murdoch University’s BA in Psychology and Human Resource Management (2019) and Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology (2014), Reginal actively incorporates her skills into every workshop she takes on which results in the creation of developmentally appropriate, highly energetic and interactive workshops for participants of every age.

In 2019, Reginal became certified as a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist and she was also part of Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Residency Programme as the Resident Learning & Engagement Officer from 2018-2019. Reginal draws a lot of inspiration from the life of Van Gogh and absolutely adores reading Literature. Her go-tos are – Epic Poetry (Homer, Virgil, Dante Alighieri), Greek Tragedies (Antigone, Prometheus Bound) and Classic Literature (George Orwell, John Steinbeck, Harper Lee).

When she’s not buried in books or watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy for the umpteenth time, Reginal loves spending time with her African Peach Faced Lovebirds and Cockatiel, watching football and brushing up on her Spanish. In the future, Reginal hopes to direct and perform in a one-woman show based on any Disney movie.
