Learning in, about and through Drama and Theatre-in-Education

About The Learning Connections

The Learning Connections (TLC), established since 2009, is a progressive arts organization dedicated to bringing young people together to engage in meaningful arts experiences that promote creative exploration, collaborative learning and inspiration for the imagination.

In 2016, TLC started its training arm to support Early Childhood Educators in their professional development journey. The specialised drama workshops aim to promote skills mastery while promoting the development of essential competencies of a lifelong learner and educator. TLC collaborates with National and International Agencies as well as Preschool Organisations to provide high quality and authentic arts integrated programmes and arts education for children, families and teachers.

About Us

The Learning Connections (TLC) is founded by Juliet and Elaine in November 2009 based on their strong belief that arts education is imperative to children’s holistic development and it should be introduced in the early years. TLC was built on their passion to bring arts to the lives of children from all backgrounds rooted in their “No Child Left Behind” philosophy.

We strongly believe that every child, regardless his or her background should have the opportunity to experience and learn about the arts. Children should be exposed to the inspirational world of theatre, dance, music, drama, art, imaginary tales and literature that will transform their lives! Early engagement with the arts is imperative to the development of a whole person. Many research findings have shown that the arts have a positive impact on young people. The arts raise aspirations, increase confidence, improve communication skills and release creativity.
